What about this light-ship?

When we wanted to start a one-stop-shop center for complementary health care, we were not sure how this would look like.

One day, during a deep meditation, the word "light-ship" was channelled through clearly.  Using automatic writing, the whole concept was explained, and the idea for the center on a light-ship was born!!  See below what I wrote down during that session:

As a child, I have always been fascinated with the sea.

If you are near to, on, or even in the sea, you can see and feel it’s energy…

This energy creates life. Not a surprise as it is the womb of all life as we know it on this planet.

It’s not only the source of life, but represents and behaves like life itself!  Sometimes it is smooth and easy going, sometimes it is rough and difficult to cope with, like our own lives..

A ship is build to cope with the sea.

When the sea is smooth and calm, it will sit there quietly. But when the sea shows it’s darker side, the ship will not fight it, but will ride the waves and copes with it, until the sea calms down again.

The ship represents you and me: we need to ride the waves of life, accept them, negotiate them.

If we fight the waves, it will cost us a lot of energy, and most of the time there is little we can do about it in the first place. Sometimes we even lose our battle and sink…

Like ship designers, we need to accept there are waves, learn from every storm, evaluate our ship design, modify it if and when required, and move on with the new design.

We need to learn to re-evaluate our life after each stormy period, and make the appropriate changes so that we are prepared for the next storm, instead of trying to fight those difficult  situations.

Riding the waves is easier than to fight them… like a ship does…

A lightship is a very special ship!

Like a lighthouse, it carries a bright light that can be seen for miles!  With it’s beams it provides guidance for those out there who might be lost, and are desperately riding, and maybe even fighting the waves! The light provides them with a new direction, something to aim for, to that safe haven..

The light also illuminates our path forward, so that we don’t get lost again, and will show those obstacles ahead of us, so we can anticipate and deal with them instead of tripping over them.

The bright light will pierce through the toughest storm, and will always be there for those who need it: it’s that familiar beacon that will help us to find our path again.

I try to be like a lightship, setting an example for others by coping with the sea and life, and provide that guidance in order for them to reach their potential and goals in life.
